About Miguel
I'm the theorist of the family. An expert in the Jobava London System and the Dutch Defence, I take openings apart until you understand why every move is played.
In January 2022 I was rated 1808; today I'm 2231 FIDE, self-taught, without a coach. I know how to climb because I've done it step by step, and I teach both children and players rated over 2000 to improve their openings and their positional play.
For the last few years I've coached El Olivar's best players, run chess at Marianistas school for every group from age 4 to 12, and taught for several years at ONCE (the Spanish organisation for the blind), as well as helping other schools and clubs.
